Jennifer Yokom, Principal
Mrs. Yokom is an alumni of the Wilson County School System. She received her undergraduate degree from Tennessee Technological University and a Master’s degree from Trevecca University in Nashville. She has been an educator for 22 years in Wilson County. She has held a range of positions across the grade-levels and curriculum teaching 2nd grade, 4th grade, and Computers and Technology for PreK through 5th grade. She has served as Interim Assistant Principal at W. A. Wright Elementary before moving to Stoner Creek Elementary as Assistant Principal (3 years), and the Assistant Principal at Springdale Elementary (6.5 years). In 2013, Mrs. Yokom received the WAW Teacher of the Year award. Mrs. Yokom recently accepted the Principal position at Springdale Elementary in January 2023.
Mrs. Yokom and her husband, Scott, live in Lebanon. They have two children, Savanna and Gatlin. She is blessed with 3 adventurous grandsons and a sweet granddaughter.
Mrs. Yokom is a very motivated and a positive individual with a passion for education and looks forward to another exciting year with the Springdale Panthers! She firmly believes all students can learn in an positive, inclusive environment.
Mrs. Yokom is often heard in the community speaking about teamwork. She shares a quote, “One of the greatest joys about working in education is that you are surrounded by people who define their level of success by their level of impact on others. They do this work not because they seek to make a fortune, they do this work because they seek to make a difference.”

Dr. Jennifer Sharpe, Assistant Principal
Dr. Jennifer Sharpe has over 16 years of experience in education that spans teaching grades 1 through 5 across six different states around the country. Upon moving to Tennessee in 2015, Dr. Sharpe worked at Rutland Elementary as a 1st and 5th grade teacher. She worked as the Instructional Coach at West Elementary School and a Summer Learning Camp Site Coordinator at Rutland Elementary and WA Wright Elementary. Dr. Sharpe joined the Springdale Panthers as the Assistant Principal in February 2023.
Dr. Sharpe received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Mathematics from Western Connecticut State University. Her Masters degree is in Computers in Education from Fairfield University. Dr. Sharpe graduated with a Doctorate of Education from Lipscomb University in 2022.
Dr. Sharpe has a beautiful blended family that includes one girl and four boys ranging in age from 14 to 24. She and her boys are active in Scouts BSA. Dr. Sharpe served as a Cubmaster for Pack 753 and is the current Committee Chair for Troop 911 in Mt. Juliet. In addition to attending scouting activities with her family, Dr. Sharpe loves to read and spend time on the lake.
